What a fun project

So i'm getting ready for my baby hedgehog to arrive in a few weeks and I decided to make my own cage. The cages at the pet stores, even the large ones are to small for a hedgehog. They can run up to 5 miles a night and need lots of floor space. So I made myself a C&C Hedgehog cage that is 10.5 square feet. The C&C stand for "cubes & coroplast". The cubes are made out of the cubed wire storage grids that I got here on sale Cube storage set and the coroplast is corrugated plastic and I found that at Graphik Display & Sign in Lindon. The cost for the coroplast can be expensive but at GD&S  it was $28.00 for a 4X8 foot piece, Awesome price!!

How to make the cage.. Its super easy and to make it your self is so much fun and cheap!!  The direction are so easy to follow and your little critter will love all the extra space...Have fun and follow the link for a step-by-step with pictures Cavy Cage's

Lending a Helping Hand

Koda and I have been wanting to do a fundraiser for the amazing DeYoung Family Zoo ever since we watch "My Life Is a Zoo" on NAT GEO WILD. The DeYoung Family Zoo is located in Wallace, MI and has two amazing people, Carrie Cramer and Bud DeYoung running the family zoo. They have Big Cats, Bears, Primates, Hyena's (Carrie's favorite), North American animals, Reptiles, Birds, Exotics, etc.. even a petting zoo. They have over 400 animals from all around the world their to enjoy. Carrie also runs a animal shelter called Pipers Place. She takes in animals that need homes from cat, dogs, horses and more. Right now she just got a pack of Labs that can use some help. I have already made a donation by sending a few heated water buckets that you can find in the link ill add below but they can also use dog food, dishes, dog houses, fencing, collars, leashes, and toys anything you can help with will help the animals Carrie has such a big heart and she deserves all the help and support we can give her. I am also going to do a fundraiser for anyone that wants to help by donating. I will also add the link to the DeYoung Family Zoo so if you wanted to make a donation you can place it on their.. Please help if you can, even if its $5 its better than nothing. Koda is giving up her new dog door to help out because she doesn't need it. Thank you to all that help, the animals will love it.
